Community Workshops

In 2024 we delivered a number of workshops to The Restoration Trust, an organisation that works with people living with Mental Health challenges. Members of the Trust were taught how to create cyanotype images from objects and images they brought to the workshop to explore ideas around home, place and identity. We also worked with participants to create outcomes in the coastal landscape itself, creating visual outcomes that both documented and reflected on the changing landscape and their relationship to it.

In 2025 we delivered a workshop to the East Anglia Gansey Group based at Sheringham Museum. As a practical, hard wearing item intended to protect the wearer, and with its rich history and links to the sea and coast, we were keen to find ways to include aspects of the Gansey knit in our project as a symbol of resilience against the elements. The group were shown how to create cyanotype prints from objects they brought to the workshop as well as items from the Museum collection that related to knitting, community and the coast.
